Balkrishna Industries Limited (BKT), a global leader in Off-Highway Tyres (OHT), has officially entered India’s consumer tyre market with the launch of its On-Highway portfolio. The move marks a strategic expansion beyond its core OHT business into two-wheelers and medium & heavy commercial vehicles (M&HCV).
Alongside the product debut, BKT rolled out its national brand campaign ‘Elevate Your Drive’, fronted by brand ambassador Ranveer Singh, signalling the start of its consumer-focused journey in India.
Two-Wheeler Portfolio
BKT introduced two new tyre lines — BKT ZENOVA, designed for urban commuting with a focus on comfort and grip, and BKT THYROS, engineered for mixed on-off road riding conditions. Manufactured in India under IATF 16949-certified processes and validated at NATRAX, the range meets BIS standards and targets performance, durability and safety.
Commercial Vehicle Expansion
BKT will also enter the M&HCV radial tyre segment in Q1 FY27 with products such as m.Loadxpert (11.00R20) and Milexpert RG (295/90R20), aimed at high-demand logistics and construction applications.
New Brand Architecture & Investment
Under its unified identity ‘BKT – Growing Together’, the company unveiled two pillars — BKT Tyres (complete tyre portfolio) and BKT Carbon (carbon black and industrial materials business).
Backed by a ₹3,500 crore investment plan, BKT aims to scale manufacturing, R&D and distribution as part of its Vision 2030 roadmap, targeting ₹23,000 crore in revenue by FY30, with 20% expected from on-highway tyres.
With a phased national rollout and a digital service support platform, BKT is positioning itself as a serious new contender in India’s fast-growing replacement and mobility tyre segments.
