Mumbai Falcons Racing Limited (MFRL) has concluded the Delhi leg of the F1® Sim Racing India Open 2026 Time Trials. The three-day event at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, attracted over 3,000 participants. The competition drew an enthusiastic response. There were 940 official leaderboard entries. This highlighted the growing popularity of Formula 1 and sim racing in India.
Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, attended the event. Raksha Khadse, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, attended as well. Together, they backed initiatives to identify and nurture India’s future motor sport talent.
Shivansh De Bejoy, a 16-year-old, was among the standout performers. He topped the leader board with a lap time of 1:20.755 around the Monza circuit. Aarav Gupta, 11, was equally impressive. He secured tenth overall with a lap time of 1:21.674. That time was less than a second behind the fastest driver. Notably, six Junior category participants finished within the overall top 20.
Speaking at the event, Raksha Khadse highlighted the growing importance of sim racing. She described sim racing as a professional training tool and an emerging esports discipline. It bridges motor sport and technology.
Ameet Gadhoke, Managing Director of Mumbai Falcons Racing Limited, said the strong turnout reinforced confidence in India’s motor sport potential. He added that the company’s vision is to build a structured talent pipeline capable of producing Indian drivers for the global Formula 1 stage.
Drivers who surpassed the qualifying benchmark have now secured places in the upcoming Zonal Qualifiers, taking them one step closer to the National Final in Mumbai and Mumbai Falcons Racing’s ‘One in a Billion Hunt – Agla Star’ driver development program.
With the next phase of the competition approaching, the Delhi leg has further strengthened the national leaderboard while reinforcing MFRL’s mission of discovering and developing India’s next generation of Formula 1 talent.
