Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited (MLMML), India’s leading electric 3-wheeler manufacturer, has officially launched the Mahindra ZEO, a groundbreaking electric four-wheeler. The name ‘ZEO,’ short for “Zero Emission Option,” highlights the vehicle’s eco-friendly benefits and aligns with MLMML’s mission to electrify last-mile transportation, helping customers thrive. Available in two variants, the Mahindra ZEO is designed to address the evolving needs of urban logistics. Priced competitively starting at ₹ 7.52 Lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India), it offers significant savings—up to ₹ 7 Lakh over seven years—compared to diesel small commercial vehicles (SCVs).
Powerful Performance
The Mahindra ZEO is built on a high-efficiency 300+ V architecture that ensures superior energy efficiency, extended range, and faster charging. Its advanced Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor delivers 30 kW of power and 114 Nm of torque, while the powerful 21.3 kWh liquid-cooled battery offers strong performance. A top speed of 60 km/h enables faster trips and greater earning potential. The ZEO’s impressive payload capacity of up to 765 kg caters to various business needs, enhanced by a large 2250 mm cargo box for greater loading capacity.
Extended Range
The Mahindra ZEO delivers a real-world driving range of 160 km, further optimized by a regenerative braking system. It offers two driving modes—Eco and Power—that extend range and improve turnaround times. Using a DC fast charger, the ZEO can gain a 100 km range in just 60 minutes, with multiple charger configurations available, including a standard on-board 3.3 kW unit.
Ease of Use
The ZEO boasts a 32% gradeability, the highest in the sub-2-ton electric cargo segment, allowing it to easily handle steep inclines. A smart gear shifter offers the convenience of automatic transmission, while the Creep Function minimizes driver fatigue in stop-and-go traffic. With a tight turning radius of just 4.3 meters, the ZEO provides exceptional maneuverability on narrow streets.
The cabin is designed for practicality, featuring a dashboard-placed transmission dial for easy access and a walk-through layout. Additional conveniences include a Type-C USB charging port, a lockable glovebox, and a fully digital instrument console, offering key vehicle information at the driver’s eye level.
NEMO Telematics
The Mahindra ZEO is equipped with an advanced NEMO telematics unit, providing real-time data for performance optimization via the NEMO Driver or Fleet Management System apps. Fleet managers can monitor performance, geofencing, and service management, while drivers can locate public charging stations and plan trips efficiently.
Warranty & Service Packages
The ZEO’s performance is backed by a seven-year/1.5 Lakh km battery warranty. MLMML also offers two service packages under the Mahindra Safar plan: roadside assistance, express service, and an annual maintenance contract. The Safar Plus package adds extended vehicle warranty and fleet management support.
Safety Features
Safety remains a top priority with the Mahindra ZEO, featuring a Driver Monitoring System (DMS) powered by AI-enabled ADAS, offering Lane Departure Warning, Headway Monitoring, and Driver Behavioral Analysis, among other features. The vehicle’s IP67-rated battery and motor meet stringent AIS038 high-voltage safety standards. Additional safety features include Hill Hold Assist, a 2500 mm long wheelbase for enhanced stability, and a 180 mm ground clearance to tackle tough road conditions. The semi-forward cabin design and factory-fitted delivery van box ensure the cargo is safely secured.
MLMML also extends its UDAY Program to Mahindra ZEO customers, providing a ₹10 Lakh accidental insurance cover for the driver for three years, reaffirming Mahindra’s commitment to customer well-being.
