Ather Rizta Hits 1 Lakh Sales in Under a Year – Becomes a Game Changer for the Brand

Big news from the EV world! Ather Energy’s first-ever family scooter, the Rizta, has zoomed past the 1 lakh unit retail sales milestone—and it’s done that in less than a year since hitting the roads in June 2024.

Launched with families in mind, the Rizta has struck the right chord. Since its reveal during Ather Community Day in April last year, this practical yet techy scooter has not only won hearts but also significantly boosted Ather’s market share, especially in key states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, MP, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh.

Since the Rizta started rolling out in large numbers (Q2 FY25), it’s accounted for nearly 60% of Ather’s total sales—yep, that’s how well it’s doing.

Ravneet Phokela, Ather’s Chief Business Officer, summed it up perfectly:
“Crossing the 1 lakh mark with Rizta is a huge milestone. It’s helped us reach more families and expand into new markets. The scooter’s practical features like its comfy seat, generous under-seat storage, safety tech, and clean design are what make it click.”

Thanks to Rizta’s success (and the consistent performance of the 450 series), Ather has now become the #1 EV brand in South India in Q4 FY25, according to Vahan data.
