44% Kia customers prefer Connected Car variants available in the top trims of Kia models
Gurugram, March 07, 2024: Kia India, known for its innovative tech-driven mobility experiences, has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 400,000 sales of connected cars. These Connected Car models now make up over 44% of Kia India’s total domestic dispatches, showcasing a remarkable success story within the industry. Additionally, Kia India’s Connected Car lineup is experiencing a robust growth rate of 30.9% CAGR, surpassing the global growth projection of 18% by 2032.

The Seltos lead the pack, contributing 65% to Kia’s total Connected Car sales. Notably, a majority of Seltos buyers opt for variants equipped with Connected Car features, accounting for 57% of all Seltos units sold. Following closely, the Carens reflects a similar trend, with 31% of its customers preferring Connected Car variants. Despite being available in only seven variants of the Sonet currently, these models still contribute significantly, comprising 21% of total Sonet sales. Kia continues to set the standard in integrating advanced Connected Car functionalities into its vehicles.
Some of the most popular features among customers include:
- Hinglish Commands: Users can conveniently access car features using Hinglish commands like “Sunroof Kholo.”
- Remote Window Control: Allows users to operate their car windows remotely.
- Remote Engine and AC Start: Keeps the car prepared and climate-controlled for immediate driving comfort.
- Valet Mode: Limits access to the AVNT system, ensuring user privacy.
