Hyundai has gradually released details about the updated Creta, but leaked images have now unveiled the SUV’s complete exterior. The facelift for the Indian market showcases a redesigned front and rear, accompanied by a thoroughly revamped interior.

The new Creta presents a more upright and boxier appearance, featuring a fresh grille, headlamp, and bumper assembly. Notable changes include a full-width LED light bar with inverted L-shaped elements, a rectangular and vertically positioned main LED headlamp cluster, and a rectangular grille with three horizontal slats, giving the front end a blockier aesthetic. The rear has shifted from a split tail-lamp setup to a single blacked-out horizontal band housing full-width LED lamps, requiring a repositioning of the number plate housing. The rear bumper now boasts chunkier details.
In terms of profile, the only visible alteration is the introduction of new alloy wheels. The interior receives a complete overhaul, showcasing twin connected 10.25-inch infotainment screens. The dashboard elegantly wraps around the screens, incorporating the AC vent on the passenger side within a gloss black horizontal band. The HVAC panel has been updated, retaining physical buttons and toggles.
On higher trims, the Creta facelift offers various creature comforts, including dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, an eight-speaker Bose sound system, ventilated front seats, an eight-way powered driver’s seat, and a Level 2 ADAS suite with 19 functions. Additional features encompass 360-degree cameras, blind spot monitoring, among others.
Under the hood, the facelift maintains the 115hp, 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines, with manual gearbox as standard and optional CVT and torque converter gearboxes. The 160hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine replaces the discontinued 1.4-litre turbo-petrol, exclusively paired with a DCT gearbox.
Bookings for the Creta facelift are now open, and deliveries are anticipated to commence in late January. Positioned in the midsize SUV segment, the updated model will compete with rivals such as the Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate, MG Astor, and Volkswagen Taigun.
