Minda Corp Teams Up with Japan’s Toyodenso for High-Tech Automotive Switches in India
In a move that strengthens its tech game in the automotive space, Minda Corporation, the flagship of the Spark Minda Group, has announced a joint venture with Japanese major Toyodenso Co. to roll out next-gen automotive switches for the Indian market.

The newly formed JV, with Minda holding a 60% stake, will focus on designing, developing, manufacturing, and marketing advanced switches for two-wheelers, passenger cars, and more. A brand-new greenfield plant is set to come up in Noida, with operations kicking off in the second half of FY 2026–27.
The deal is already off to a promising start — the JV has bagged orders from Indian OEMs and is geared up to ride the wave of demand for smarter, more tech-forward switch solutions.
What does each side bring to the table?
While Toyodenso brings cutting-edge technology and engineering know-how from Japan, Minda Corp takes charge of localized manufacturing, a strong supply chain, and a deep understanding of the Indian automotive ecosystem.
This partnership is a smart step toward localizing innovation and scaling up advanced product offerings in a market that’s rapidly moving toward connected, intelligent, and premium vehicles.
