Mahindra Auto Sales Cross 1 Lakh in Sept, Up 16%

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M), one of India’s leading automotive manufacturers, reported total sales of 1,00,298 vehicles in September 2025, marking a robust 16% year-on-year growth, including exports.

In the Utility Vehicles (UV) segment, Mahindra sold 56,233 units in the domestic market, a 10% increase over last year, while overall UV sales (including exports) reached 58,714 units. The company’s Commercial Vehicle (CV) sales stood at 26,728 units, growing 18% YoY. However, SUV billing numbers were slightly impacted in the last 10 days of the month due to trailer availability constraints.

Festive Boost Drives Navratri Sales

According to Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO – Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., festive demand gave Mahindra’s sales strong momentum.

“In September, we achieved SUV sales of 56,233 units, a 10% growth, and total vehicle sales of 1,00,298 units, a 16% increase YoY. The introduction of GST 2.0 and pent-up demand have driven record festive sales. During the first nine days of Navratri, dealer-reported retails grew by over 60% in SUVs and over 70% in CVs compared to last year.”

Despite supply-side constraints, Mahindra is working to streamline dispatches to meet festive demand.
